Hello Artisans

I’m Micheal Anderson and this is my creative space, this blog is an amalgamation of passion, art and talent. Through this platform you’ll get to see true craftsmanship which will ignite a new spark in you. From creative DIY projects to some useful work tips and few professional project exhibits. This space has a lot to offer! So folks buckle up to do all “swords” of things.

“Micky there ain’t no better feeling than making something out of your own bare hands!” These were the words I always heard my grandfather saying and these very words instilled an uncanny passion inside me.

Forging metals into different shapes and sizes slowly became an obsession and it completely set aflame during my teenage years. As I practiced more the hobby became the focus of every free moment!

After dwelling into painting, pottery and finally blacksmithing I discovered that my natural inclination is towards honing metals into unique items. From mastering the small nuances to actually pursuing it as a full time profession, it has been an incredible journey so far.

And now I want to take all of you along on this journey, I want to make all of you a part of all the crazy experimentation, the beautiful outcomes and the long hours of hard work. You’ll not just get to learn an amazing craft but also enjoy the process with me and I hope you won’t get bored.

Why Be A Blacksmith?

But why do you want to be a blacksmith? Isn’t that the most commonly asked question which is thrown at us?

I believe this is the best time to be a blacksmith because finally the world has started recognizing and appreciating art. Artisans are valued and their creations are acknowledged so perhaps this is an ideal way for you to creatively express yourself. From making a simple pendant to a customized key chain from scratch, the process is exhilarating!

Isn’t there a joy in seeing your dirty hands creating an iconic master piece! This rush can only be experienced when you craft something out of your own hands. The feeling is unparalleled and no matter what this feeling is enough to drive us forever.
